Applications in steel construction
The Peddinghaus stirrup bender is used to produce reinforcement stirrups from round and reinforcing bar. It lets you bend closed and open stirrups with the required angles and leg lengths for columns, beams and downstand beams.

What is the difference between a stirrup bender and a rebar bender?
A rebar bender is designed for individual bends and hooks. A stirrup bender is geared towards the repeated production of complete stirrups with several bends and defined leg lengths, so that uniform stirrups can be produced reproducibly.
What are reinforcement stirrups needed for?
Stirrups enclose the longitudinal reinforcement in columns, beams and downstand beams and absorb shear forces. They fix the bars in position and ensure the concrete cover. Dimensionally accurate stirrups with correct angles are therefore a prerequisite for reinforcement that conforms to the drawing.
