Combination of the plate shearing machine model 1 BR 6 / 3and the model 21 / 8 P punching machine.

Two separate hand lever operated work-stations enabling work to be carried out at two points simultaneously.

Applications in steel construction

The combined shear and punch unites two fabrication steps in one manually operated machine: cutting steel and punching for bolted connections. This allows sections and sheets to be cut to length and provided with connection holes at one workstation, without re-clamping the workpiece. In the workshop this saves walking distances and a second machine.

Typical applications

  • Cutting flat steel, angle steel and structural sections to length
  • Punching connection and fastening holes in one pass together with cutting
  • Producing cleats and connecting parts with hole and cut edge
  • Preparing bolted connections in structural and metal fabrication
  • Workshop cutting of smaller batches without separate punching and cutting machines

Which businesses use it

Used in metal fabrication, locksmithing and structural steelwork, where cutting and punching are carried out in a space-saving way at one workstation.

Frequently asked questions

What advantage does the combination of shear and punch offer?

Cutting and punching take place in one machine, so no second device and no re-clamping are needed. This shortens the path from raw material to ready-to-connect part and saves space in the workshop.

Can the cut and the hole be used independently?

Yes, the shearing and punching areas are separate stations of the machine. You can only cut a section to length, only punch it, or do both one after the other on the same workpiece.

What hole patterns is the punching station suited for?

It is suited for single connection and fastening holes in flat steel and structural sections. The possible hole diameter depends on material thickness and strength; the matching punch-and-die pair determines the hole size.
