Which sections can be cut with the bar steel shear?
Typical are flat steel, round steel and angle steel in smaller cross-sections. The maximum cuttable cross-section depends on the shape and strength of the material; solid or high-strength sections limit the possible size.
How clean is the cut edge when shearing?
Shearing produces a cold, low-burr edge without scaling and without flying sparks. Compared to a cut-off wheel, there is no heat-affected zone and no material loss from a kerf.
